Welcome to Energy Reset

Research informed perspectives on anxiety, attention, sound, and dementia

What we do

Energy Reset is an independent knowledge platform focused on translating psychological research into clear, accessible information.

The site explores how everyday practices such as mindfulness, breathwork, movement, and structured sound listening are studied in relation to anxiety, attention, and emotional regulation.

All content is grounded in peer reviewed research.
No clinical or therapeutic claims are made.

Why this platform exists

Many adults use mindfulness, sound based practices, and movement to manage stress and emotional difficulty.

These practices are widely discussed online.
They are often described using language that goes beyond the available evidence.

Psychological research has a role in clarifying:

  • What is supported by evidence
  • What remains uncertain
  • What is not currently known

Energy Reset exists to support informed understanding rather than promotion.

Anxiety & Attention

Anxiety is understood as a pattern involving cognition, emotion, attention, and bodily awareness.

This section summarises contemporary psychological models of anxiety and explains why attention and interoception are central to how anxiety is experienced in everyday life.

Mindfulness Practice

Mindfulness is presented as a self directed behavioural practice rather than a trait or treatment.

This section reviews evidence on attentional regulation, interoceptive awareness, and how mindfulness practices are studied in relation to anxiety.

Limits of evidence and variability in outcomes are stated clearly

Sound Based Practices

Sound based practices are examined as structured listening experiences rather than therapeutic interventions.

This section reviews research on music and sound in relation to mood, anxiety, and attention, with particular emphasis on guided sessions and community contexts.

Evidence gaps around everyday use are highlighted.

Dementia and Sensory Environments

This section focuses on dementia from a psychological and environmental perspective.

It reviews research on music, sound, and sensory experience in dementia care, with attention to wellbeing, engagement, and quality of life rather than disease modification.

Frontotemporal dementia is discussed as part of this broader context.

About the Author

Energy Reset is developed by Hari Trivedi, an MSc graduate in Psychology of Mental Health & Well Being with research focused on anxiety, mindfulness practice, and sound based experiences.

The platform is informed by both academic training and lived experience, including close family experience of frontotemporal dementia.

The aim is to support ethical research communication and public understanding.
